Residential Treatment
Adult Residential Treatment Services at ACTS
At ACTS, our Adult Residential Treatment Services offer a structured and supportive environment for individuals seeking comprehensive care for substance use disorders and behavioral health challenges. Our residential programs provide 24/7 support and are designed to address the complex needs of those requiring intensive treatment and a safe, therapeutic setting.
What is Residential Treatment?
ACTS Residential treatment provides a fully immersive experience where individuals live at our facility while receiving round-the-clock care. This approach is ideal for those needing a higher level of support, a safe space to focus on recovery, and a break from daily stressors that may impact their progress. For adults, we offer two locations for Residential Treatment in Tampa and Tarpon Springs.
Our Residential Treatment Programs Include:
Individualized Treatment Plans
Each resident receives a personalized treatment plan based on a thorough assessment of their needs, including substance use history, mental health status, and personal goals. This plan guides all aspects of their care and ensures that treatment is tailored to their specific circumstances.
Therapeutic Interventions
Residents participate in various therapeutic interventions, including individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling. These sessions help address the root causes of substance use, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional and psychological healing.
Life Skills Development
We focus on building essential life skills to support long-term recovery, including stress management, communication, and problem-solving. Our goal is to equip residents with the tools they need to manage their lives effectively after treatment.
Relapse Prevention Planning
Our programs emphasize relapse prevention by teaching residents strategies to handle triggers, cravings, and high-risk situations. We work with each individual to develop a solid plan for maintaining their sobriety and managing challenges that may arise.
Supportive Community
Living in a residential setting provides a supportive community of peers who share similar experiences and goals. This environment fosters mutual support, accountability, and encouragement, enhancing the recovery experience.
Aftercare and Transition Planning
As residents near the end of their treatment, we focus on creating a comprehensive aftercare plan to ensure a smooth transition back to everyday life. This may include referrals to outpatient services, support groups, and community resources.

Intermediate Care Programs (ICP)
ACTS Intermediate Care Programs (ICP) provide structured residential treatment for individuals with mental health disorders, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders. Our programs offer a safe and supportive environment where residents can focus on recovery and receive comprehensive care tailored to their unique needs.
Program Overview
The ICP provides residential care with stays ranging from 90 to 120 days at one of our two locations in Tampa, Florida. During this time, residents work closely with our dedicated team of professionals to develop and follow an individualized treatment plan. Each plan is designed to address the specific challenges and goals of the resident, ensuring they receive the most effective care possible.
The ICP is available to all qualifying Hillsborough County residents enrolled in the Hillsborough County Health Care Plan. We operate two ICP locations, each providing a therapeutic environment to support male residents on their path to recovery.
